We depart from the Total Petroport on the N1 north of Pretoria at 6:30am
Day 1: Drive via N1 to Polokwane where we turn away and make our way to the Orrie Baragwaneth Mountain Pass where you technical 4×4 driving skills will be put to the test! We visit the “magic forest” as well as the waterfall before making our way to the historical town of Leydsdorp for our first overnight stop, but not before stopping at the hotel, which is apparently haunted, for some refreshments. Our camp has basic ablution facilities.
Day 2: We enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then visit the Giant Baobab tree and learn about its significance to this area before heading to the Molototsi River for our first night of “wild camping”. Breakfast at the Leydsdorp Hotel is optional and for your own account.
Day 3: Today sees us drive along the old fence of the Kruger National Park until we reach the Little Letaba River and have ourselves some fun in the dry river bed all the while testing your 4×4 skills with plenty of sand driving, rock driving and water crossings. This is our last night of wild camping.
Day 4: Depart back home.
