Multi-Day Tour West Coast  / 7 Nights – 8 Days

Day 1:  Clients arrive Cape Town International Airport – Shuttle to hotel.  18:30:  Pre-dinner drinks and briefing about what to expect over the next 7 days. Safety briefing at the same time.  19:30:  Dinner

Day 2:  Breakfast from 07:30.  Depart from hotel at 09:00.  We unfortunately have to drive through town to get to Blouberg as soon as possible to start on the R27, West Coast road. We head north towards Yzerfontein and then turn off into the West Coast National Park for a scenic drive to Paternoster via Langebaan and Vredenburg.  Lunch in Paternoster will be at Voorstrandt Restaurant.

After lunch we take on the service roads next to the Sishen-Saldanha railway line all the way to Lamberts Bay.  Accommodation in Lamberts Bay.  Dinner will be at the well-known Muisbosskerm.

Day 3:  Breakfast from 7:30 – Depart 8:30 – Early departure for a fantastic day!!  From Lamberts Bay, we drive the Transnet road all the way to Ludtzville. We drive an extremely scenic route all the West Coast with plenty of places to stop as well as a fair amount of sand driving.  (We will need to take enough refreshments on this leg).  This is a circular route and takes us back to Ludtzville for lunch at the Lutzville Cellar.

After lunch we make our way to Clanwilliam via Vredendal and more gravel roads. We refuel in Clanwilliam at the Shell garage, before heading off to our accommodation for the next two nights.  Dinner 19:30

Day 4:  Clients have a day of leisure with a variety of activities.  Dinner 19:30.

Day 5:  Today is a very interesting drive, we exit the majestic Cederberg and enter the harsh Tankwa Karoo with its open vistas and beauty of it’s own. We make our way to the Tankwa Padstal for lunch.

After lunch we drive via spectacular gravel roads to the coldest town in South Africa, Sutherland! We overnight in Sutherland. A visit to SALT telescope can be arranged.  Dinner 19:30

Day 6:  Breakfast 07:30 – Depart 08:30.  Today will be an interesting scenic drive but quite a long one. We head South to Matjiesfontein and then on to Laingsburg where we will refuel. From Laingsburg we head further south and drive the spectacular Seweweekspoort to reach the R62 near Ladismith. It is tar road all the way to Laingsburg and gravel through Seweweekspoort up to Ladismith. We are then on tar once again. We pass Barrydale and make our way to Montagu for lunch.

We depart Montagu by 13:30 as we make our way to Klipbokkop near Worcester for an afternoon of off-road fun in the sand.

We make our way to Paarl along the edge of the Theewaterskloof Dam.  Our overnight spot is in Paarl.  Dinner 19:30

Day 7:  Breakfast 07:30 – Depart 09:00.  We drive via Stellenbosch and make our way to Cape Point.  Lunch at Cape Point and some free time for clients to explore the view point.  After lunch we make our way back to accommodation via Chapmans Peak scenic road.  Dinner 19:30

Day 8:  Depart for airport via shuttle.
