Description

Day 1:  We meet at Khama Rhino Sanctuary near Serowe Botswana.
(alternatively – drive with from Jhb in convoy)

Day 2:  We drive via cutlines to Kekhonje Island on the Makgadigadi Pans.
There are no facilities so we will be wild camping. The views and experience of this island will leave a lasting impression on you.

Day 3:  We make our way towards Nata to refuel via cutlines. From here we make our way towards the Zimbabwe border wherew e will spend the night wild camping once again. More remote you cannot possibly be!

Day 4:  We travel via remote tracks to our next overnight stop at the world renowned Elephant Sands. Experience elephants up close and personal while relaxing around the pool with a cold refreshing drink at the bar.

Day 5:  We make our way toward Kasane on the tar road and stopping near Pandamatenga for a break, all the while experiencing wild animals along the way. This is what makes Botswana SO special!

Our camping spot for the next 3 nights is at Thebe River Safaris. They have a great restaurant and bar with free wi-fi facilities. An afternoon of leisure around the pool with cold drinks in hand is in order!.

 Day 6:  We head out on an early morning game drive on open game viewers to Chobe National Park, this park is always full of surprises!

The afternoon is and has been a highlight for me ater all these years of experiencing it, the sundowner boat cruise on the Chobe River. You’re your cooler box, sit back and relax with views of elephant that sometimes cross the Chobe River, herds of buffalo and plenty of other wild animals around.

Day 7:  Today is a day of leisure. For those that wish to visit the Vic Falls, we will arrange shuttle to take and bring you back. Costs are for own account. Those that don’t want to go to Vic Falls can arrange to do some Tiger fishing etc whilst in Kasane.

Day 8:  We depart early and drive the infamous Hunters Road from Kasane all the way to just north of Elephant Sands to spend our last night at Nata Lodge.

You need to be self-sufficient on this trip – includes meals and all camping equipment.

We would be keeping numbers to 6 vehicles in the group.  Price is based on two (2) people per vehicle.  We retain the right to change the route for safety and weather conditions.
