Description

Day 1:  We meet at the Total Petroport on the N1 just after the toll gates and depart at 6:30am.  We drive north towards Polokwane an then on to the Orri Baragwanath pass. This pass was built as a link to get farmers produce to the markets and can become a serious 4×4 drive depending on conditions. We traverse and take in the beautiful views offered stopping midway for a lunch break at the “enchanted forest”. We exit at the Legalametsi Park gate and make our way to the historic town of Leydsdorp to camp overnight at Kapiri Hills farm. We will stop at the historic hotel for some “refreshments”! This hotel has some very interesting stories to tell, especially the bar! President Paul Kruger used to hunt lions in this area back in the day. Tonight we will have ablution facilities at our campsite.

Day 2:  After a breakfast at the hotel, we set off direction Gravelot and stop at the historic giant baobab tree steeped in history for a short history brief by a local guide that gives us interesting facts on history about the tree. From here we start making our way to our first river, the Moletotsi River. Brace yourself for some fun sand driving and plenty of obstacles along the way. You will have opportunity to hone your sand driving skills a plenty! Tonight we build a massive bonfire and wild camp in the river bed.

Day 3:  Today we drive all along the old Kruger National Park fence to reach the Little Letaba River. Today we will have some truly interesting obstacles to cross. Your technical driving abilities will be tested! The reward is another night of wild camping in the Little Letaba riverbed. Wild camping at it’s very best!!

You will need to be completely self-sufficient on this adventure. We only have ablution facilities on the first night.

This is one of the most amazing trips that you can do and is loads of fun, from learning sand driving skills to massive bonfires at the campsite in the evenings.

We will supply two radios for those that do not have. The camping fees as well as fees for the park are included.

Maximum of 2 people per vehicles.  Extra pax is R 975pp.
